School administration provides flexibility in scheduling so that teacher teams can work and collaborate together on STEM activities. We host STEM strategy grade-level sessions (SCI/Math/CTAE) as well as vertical planning sessions (all content areas) and whole-cohort sessions.
Business partners are consulted or brought into the classroom to plan and execute problem-based learning activities.
Pre-planned Collaborative Problem Based Lessons are in place that promote collaboration. STEM teams are scheduled together in Block Sessions so that members can optimize time utilization. A STEM Coordinator is in place to monitor and promote collaboration among team members.

The TMS STEM Coordinator and TMS STEM Cohort teachers meet with Program Partners periodically to plan PBLs as well as Cohort and school-wide functions. Our entire TMS STEM Program staff also regularly engage in PD, internships, externships, etc., with the expected outcome of improving the overall STEM experience for all parties.
